Telangana hikes stipend for Doctors, House Surgeons and Senior Residents by 15 per cent
The Telangana state government has announced a 15 per cent hike in medical stipends, effective from January 1, 2025. The revised stipends will benefit house surgeons, postgraduate (PG) degree and diploma students, super-specialty medical and dental trainees, as well as senior residents
Hyderabad: The State government on Sunday issued orders enhancing the stipend by 15 percent with effect from January 1, 2025 for house surgeons, doctors doing Post Graduation (degree and diploma) and super-specialty in dental, MBBS and Masters in Dental Surgery (MDS).
Accordingly, monthly stipend for House Surgeons (both medical/dental) will be Rs 29,792 from earlier Rs. 25,906. For PG (degree) first year doctors, stipend will be Rs. 67,032, second year Rs. 70,757 and for third year it will be Rs.74,482. For PG (diploma) first year doctors, the stipend will be Rs. 67,032 and for second year it will be Rs. 70,757.
For a first year super-specialty doctor, the stipend will be Rs. 1,06,461, second year Rs. 1,11,785 and third year Rs. 1,17,103.
For super-specialty MDS dental doctors, first year stipend will be Rs. 67,032, the second year Rs. 70,757 and the third year Rs. 74,482. The honorarium for senior residents has been enhanced to Rs 1,06,461, the orders from the State government on Sunday said.
