The Andhra Pradesh government has directed APTRANSCO to complete 24 power transmission projects worth Rs 3,507 crore by December 2026. The projects aim to strengthen grid infrastructure, improve power reliability, reduce transmission losses and meet growing electricity demand across sectors

So far it has converted five substations located at Kalyan Nagar, Mufkamza, Shilparamam, Krishna Nagar and Nagole into fully automated ones
