The three cases involve severe torture, the public parading of a woman naked, alleged ragging at Tripura Medical College, and forcing a woman into marriage, officials reported on Saturday. A THRC official stated that the commission, led by former Tripura High Court Judge Swapan Chandra Das, has ordered authorities to investigate each incident and submit detailed reports within two to three weeks.
Police have initiated a search operation to apprehend the husband, who is currently evading authorities. The husband, without a steady occupation, is being pursued by law enforcement, and the couple also has a child.
The court on Tuesday asked them to examine the matter and suggest how to develop an effective psychological counselling system to deal with the situation.
