  • Telangana procures 12.38 LMT paddy for Rabi season

    The Telangana Civil Supplies Department has procured 12.38 lakh metric tonnes of paddy during the Rabi 2025-26 season. Payments worth Rs 1,129.43 crore under the Minimum Support Price scheme have been directly credited to the accounts of 1.54 lakh farmers.

    The Telangana civil supplies department has seized 3,699 illegal domestic LPG cylinders and 70 small cylinders between March 12 and April 3, valued at Rs 1.10 crore. A total of 1,275 cases and 216 FIRs were registered under Section 6A of the Essential Commodities Act.

Consumers face unsolicited promotions and privacy breaches, while the Telangana Consumer Affairs Department has yet to implement the advisory effectively.
