Telangana’s peak electricity demand reached a record 20,003 MW on October 15, while daily consumption climbed to 334.54 million units. Rising agricultural, domestic, commercial and industrial needs are putting pressure on utilities, which are procuring additional power and monitoring supply.
Telangana recorded its highest-ever electricity consumption on Friday by supplying 341.08 Million Units in a single day and meeting a peak demand of 18,228 MW, surpassing previous records. Officials attributed the surge to rising temperatures and increased agricultural power requirements
