A man climbed a BSNL mobile tower in Miryalaguda, alleging he had been denied an Indiramma House despite being eligible. Police rushed to the spot and counselled him after he threatened to jump, demanding that a house be allotted to his wife if anything happened to him.
The Telangana government has launched the Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme in the CURE area, under which beneficiaries must contribute Rs 6 lakh towards a flat costing Rs 11 lakh. The government plans to construct one lakh flats in phases across 16 Assembly constituencies
