The Telangana Pollution Control Board has issued a show-cause notice to Heritage Foods Limited in Shamirpet for allegedly discharging wastewater into a natural nala and causing air pollution. The company has also been directed to improve effluent treatment and wastewater management systems.
The Telangana Pollution Control Board announced the State Best Environmental Performance Awards 2026 to recognise institutions and industries for achievements in pollution control and waste management. The awards will be presented on World Environment Day, with nominations open until May 15.
