Polling for the third and final phase of gram panchayat elections began across Telangana on Wednesday, with voting underway in 3,752 villages to decide Sarpanch and ward member posts amid tight security and extensive election arrangements.
Following the High Court's stay on local body elections, the State Election Commission has suspended the notification issued on September 29. All related processes, including the Model Code of Conduct and nominations for ZPTC, MPTC, and Gram Panchayat elections, have been put on hold until further notice.
Telangana SEC has released the schedule for MPTC and ZPTC elections. Draft electoral rolls and polling stations will be displayed on September 6, with claims and objections accepted till September 8. Final lists will be published on September 10
