The Telangana Polytechnic Joint Action Committee has opposed the proposed merger of polytechnic colleges with the Young India Skills University, alleging that college assets could be used for commercial purposes and warning that the move may affect approvals and affordable technical education.
The Telangana Polytechnic JAC has temporarily suspended its protests against the merger of polytechnic colleges with Young India Skill University after the government formed a high-level committee. However, it warned of intensifying protests if GO No. 97 is not scrapped.
The Telangana Polytechnic Joint Action Committee (TP-JAC), which is opposing the merger of polytechnics with Young India Skills University, insists on written assurances and demands revocation of GO 97 or removal of the clause integrating polytechnics with YISU.
