Major infrastructure works across Hyderabad’s KBR Park, Uppal Junction and IIIT Junction are set to intensify monsoon traffic congestion. The projects include flyovers, underpasses and the Uppal elevated corridor, with diversions already affecting commuters across key city routes and junctions.
Traffic diversions and road closures linked to the Uppal Elevated Corridor works are causing severe congestion and delays for commuters in Hyderabad. Officials said the diversions could continue for another five to six months as pillar construction progresses on the corridor.
The Uppal Elevated Corridor in Hyderabad, launched in 2018 to ease traffic on NH-163, remains incomplete with only 43 percent of work done. Residents and businesses are grappling with daily gridlocks, dust pollution, and financial losses. The delay has turned a once-promising infrastructure project into a symbol of civic neglect and administrative failure.
