The salvage mission, carried out in collaboration with the US Navy, followed the initial recovery operations on the ocean floor, approximately 1,600 feet (488 meters) from the Titanic, as stated by the Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard said that it "received debris and evidence recovered from the seafloor at the site of the Titan submersible when the M/V Horizon Arctic arrived in St. John’s, Newfoundland
US Coast Guard Rear Admiral John Mauger said a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) discovered the tail cone of the Titan submersible about half a kilometre from the bow of the Titanic on the sea floor.
"Additionally, the data from the P-3 aircraft has been shared with our US Navy experts for further analysis which will be considered in future search plans."
