Blinken expressed that the U.S. honors the "rich and diverse history" of the Indian people on India's Independence Day, celebrated annually on August 15. In his message to India, the U.S. Secretary of State also highlighted the rapidly growing cooperation between the two nations, as they continue to collaborate in advancing their shared vision of a free, open, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
The Initiative, as per the State Department, seeks to use public-private collaborations to build a music ecosystem that boosts economic fairness and fosters the creative economy.
The talks come weeks ahead of the US presidential election and amid tensions between the US and China over the virus, trade, technology, Hong Kong, Taiwan and human rights.
