Six people, including children, went missing after a boat carrying nine passengers capsized in the Yamuna river in Hamirpur. Three people were rescued by the boatman, while NDRF and SDRF teams launched search operations to trace the missing passengers after the accident

The incident took at around 5.30 am at Puraina crossing when the family was going to Jharkhand from Lucknow.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the incident and directed officials to provide relief to the victims.

The road accident took place late Thursday night when the victims were returning from a wedding function in the Nawabganj area of Pratapgarh.
