The Karnataka State Election Commission has issued a formal notice to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, asking him to provide documentary evidence backing his claim of over one lakh bogus votes cast in the Mahadevapura Assembly Constituency during the recent Lok Sabha elections.
Rahul Gandhi launched a “Vote Chori” campaign website urging public support for his demand that the ECI release digital voter rolls. The move precedes an INDIA bloc march to the poll panel’s Delhi office to protest alleged electoral irregularities
The ECI has strongly refuted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent allegations of large-scale voter list manipulation, particularly in the Mahadevapura Assembly segment of Bangalore Central. In response to Gandhi's press conference, the ECI has challenged him to legally stand by his claims by signing a statutory declaration under Rule 20(3)(b) of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.
