During a two-day visit to his home constituency of Kuppam after becoming Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu inspected the unfinished branch canal of the Handri-Neeva Srujala Sravanthi at Santhipuram in Chinnari Doddi.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) alone was leading in 16 constituencies. Its allies Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jana Sena were ahead in three and two seats respectively.
"The stone struck the CM while he was acknowledging the crowds as part of his bus tour at Vivekananda School Centre in Singh Nagar, Vijayawada," said a statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
Naidu alleged that water was not supplied to even a single acre in the past five years and claimed that Reddy encouraged the free flow of spurious liquor, ganja (marijuana) and other drugs in every village of Rayalaseema.
Kesineni Sivanath is running as the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate, whereas his elder brother Kesineni Srinivas, formerly with TDP, is now running under the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) banner.
