Tahsildar arrested for transferring land illegally in Sircilla
When the police examined the bank and data of Dharani portal, it was established that Mallesham’s land was transferred onto the name of Lakshmi by uploading fake registration documents.
Rajanna-Sircilla: Police arrested former Chandurthy Tahsildar D Naresh on charges transferring the land onto the name of others illegally by uploading fake registration documents on Dharani portal. Naresh was produced before court on Saturday.
According to police, Salendra Mallesham from Ananthapalli of Chandurthy mandal owns agricultural land in survey number 104, 105 in the outskirts of the village.
A resident of the same village, Salendra Lakshmi got the land transferred to her name with the help of the then Tahsildar Naresh by producing fake registration documents. On July 25, 2024, she also obtained a loan from the Chandurthy Grameena Bank by producing the land documents.
Based on the complaint lodged by Mallesham, police registered the case and began investigation.

While working as Tahsildar in Chandurthy, Naresh allegedly did it with the encouragement of Salendra Gopi and five others, police said. Naresh was currently working in the district collectorate.
