Take steps to protect forest lands: Telangana PCCF

PCCF, R Shobha instructed the Revenue and Forest departments to carry out a survey to find out whether forest lands were occupied for farming

Nirmal: Principal Chief Conservator of Forests R Shobha instructed authorities concerned to take steps to protect forest lands. She and Collector Musharraf Ali Faruqui convened a meeting with officials of Revenue, Panchayat Raj, Forest departments here on Friday.

Shobha instructed the Revenue and Forest departments to carry out a survey to find out whether forest lands were occupied for farming.

She said that the Forest Department would give its nod to developmental works and formation of roads after conducting joint inspection. She added that the foresters would extend their cooperation to creation of Palle Prakriti Vanam and skill development centres

Collector Musharraf Ali Faruqui said that special measures were being taken to safeguard the forest lands. He stated that the joint survey would be begun soon.

Field Director to Kawal Tiger Project CP Vinod Kumar, Additional Collector Hemanth Borkhade, forest officials Vikram Singh and Neeraj, DRDO Venkateshwarlu and many other officials were present.
