Talasani lays foundation stone for SNDP works in Musheerabad

Hyderabad: The foundation stone for Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) works proposed in the Musheerabad constituency was laid by Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav on Friday. To address the issue of urban flooding, the stormwater drain network in the city and its surroundings is being revamped at a cost of Rs 858.32 crore in SNDP’s first phase.
As a part of the exercise in the Musheerabad constituency, two culverts are being built with an estimated cost of Rs 12 crore. While one culvert will be built from Nallapochamma Temple, VST to Vidya Nagar Road the other will come up at the Vegetable Market Road, Nallakunta.
“The SNDP works are being executed on the instructions of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao. Once the SNDP works in the Musheerabad area are completed, around 8,000 households will be benefited,” said Srinivas Yadav.
Officials monitoring the SNDP works said the bottlenecks on the nala at Nagamaiahkunta, Vidyanagar Road, Vegetable Market Road will be removed and culverts will be built.
“The inundation issue in Warasiguda, Padma Rao Nagar, Parsigutta, Ram Nagar, VST, Vidhya Nagar, Nallakunta and Padma Colony will be addressed once the works are completed,” he said.
