Hyderabad: Talks between the State government and private professional colleges over fee reimbursement dues failed on Saturday.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister D Sridhar Babu and Advisor to Chief Minister Vem Narender Reddy held discussions with representatives of the Federation of Associations of Higher Education Institutions.
It is learnt that the Deputy Chief Minister expressed his displeasure over the sudden protest call given by the college managements and told them not to rush or create unnecessary trouble. He is also said to have pointed out the State’s strained financial situation, stating that the government intended to release funds, though with some delay.
Meanwhile, the managements decided to boycott all examinations, including BPharmacy second and third semester, engineering internals and BEd exams scheduled from Monday.
