Tamarind tree falls on moving vehicles in Siddipet, two escape with minor injuries

Two commuters narrowly escaped with minor injuries after a massive tamarind tree fell on their vehicles on the Medak–Siddipet road near Akkannapet village. The accident damaged the vehicles and caused a major traffic jam before police cleared the route.

SIDDIPET: An auto-rickshaw driver and a motorcyclist narrowly escaped with minor injuries after a massive tamarind tree fell on them while they were travelling on the Medak–Siddipet road near Akkannapet village in Ramayampet mandal on Tuesday.

The auto-rickshaw was completely damaged in the incident, while the motorcycle also suffered damage. The auto driver sustained bleeding injuries to his head, while the biker escaped with bruises.


The tree fall caused a major traffic jam on both sides of the busy road. Police deployed personnel and brought in JCBs to remove the tree and restore traffic flow.
