HYDERABAD: Mahipal Singh of Tamil Nadu and N. Sumathi of Andhra Pradesh won the titles in the Game Extreme South Zone tenpin bowling championship at Game Extreme Bowling Centre here.
In the men’s final, based on the cumulative pinfall of two games, top seed Mahipal Singh warded off a spirited challenge from seventh seed N.T. Ganesh of Tamil Nadu by a margin of 52 pins (405-353).
Earlier, in the semifinals, Ganesh with 387 sailed past G. Lalith Kumar of Telangana (347).
In a low-scoring women’s final, national champion Sumathi Nallabantu of Andhra Pradesh won by three pins, defeating Hitasha Sisodia (Karnataka) and Sabeena Athica (Tamil Nadu) (298-295-280).
Dr. Jagadish Babu Rangisetty, Chairman of Biophore India Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd, gave away the prizes.
