Tamil, Telugu actor Srikanth arrested in Chennai drug case

Actor Srikanth, known for his roles in Tamil and Telugu films, was arrested in Chennai in a high-profile drug case. His arrest followed a positive drug test for cocaine, based on evidence and a statement by an AIADMK IT Wing official

Hyderabad: Actor Srikanth, known for his roles in several Tamil and Telugu films, was arrested in Chennai on Monday in connection with a high-profile drug case.

According to reports, the arrest was made by Chennai police based on a statement given by AIADMK IT Wing administrator Prasad.


Earlier, Srikanth had undergone a drug test at Gandhi Government Hospital to determine whether he had consumed narcotics. Upon confirmation that cocaine was present in his blood samples, he was taken into custody.

Srikanth is known for his performances in Telugu films such as Okariki Okaru, Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule, Police Police, and Dhada.
