Hyderabad: Sarathi Studios in the city is all geared up for a new film festival. This time, the festival, marking it to be the first in the Telugu States, is completely dedicated to the environment.
Organised by the NGO called Babul Films Society, the 5th Babul Eco Film Festival (BEFF) is being presented, in association with Sarathi Studios and Hyderabad Film Club.
The festival will be opened by veteran lyric writer and actor Tanikella Bharani on December 25 at 5 pm at Sarathi Studios. Poojitha Jonnalagadda will also be gracing the occasion.
The film will showcase 80 internationally-acclaimed environmental films made in the last two years. The winners of the short-film contest will receive awards presented by Siva Balaji Manoharan and Madhumita. The chairman of the jury will be Raghuveer P, IFS.
The closing ceremony will be held at 4 pm on December 26 at Sarathi Studios.
The Babul Eco Film Festival (BEFF), one of the major Green Film Festivals of India, started in June 2017 with a motive to spread awareness about the various environmental subjects.
Today, the film festival stands as a chance for nature lovers to watch eco films in all genres, including documentary, animation, fiction, docu-fiction and many more.
