Task Force seizes ganja worth Rs 1.9 lakh from cab driver in Hyderabad

A car driver from Balapur was caught by the Task Force and local police in Kanchanbagh for drug peddling. He was found with 7.5 kg of marijuana worth Rs 1.9 lakh. Police are searching for the main supplier from Hafeezbaba Nagar

Hyderabad: The Task Force (South-West) team, along with the local police, caught one person on charges of drug peddling in Kanchanbagh and seized 7.5 kg of marijuana worth Rs 1.9 lakh on Wednesday.

Police said Mohd Amer, a car driver from Balapur, took to drug peddling for extra income. He procured the contraband from one Mohd Ismail, a drug dealer in Hafeezbaba Nagar, and sold it to known consumers at a higher rate.

While Amer was handed over to the Kanchanbagh police, efforts are on to nab Ismail.
