Hyderabad: Internet usage has seen a steep increase over the last year. Due to Covid-19 much of the productivity work was done from home and all credit goes to the World Wide Web which helped in communicating messages and making the working process easy with the click of a button from homes. At the same time, the number of internet service providers has also gradually increased.
Tata sky is one of the well-heard names in the market when it comes to the list of Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Although there are various options available for the customers, most of them prefer Tata Sky broadband over others and the company also enjoys a wide user base across the country. The broadband provider makes sure the customer is fetched with the suitable service and it is now providing up to 1 Gbps of speed to many cities across the country. Tata Sky broadband offers plans ranging from 50 Mbps to a super-high-speed of 1 Gbps. However, mentioned below are the 500 Mbps broadband plans offered by the company.
Tata Sky 500 Mbps Plan
Tata Sky unlimited broadband 500 Mbps plan comes at Rs 2,300 if the user wants to purchase it month-on-month. However, if a user wants to use broadband for more than a month, then he/she may choose 3 months, 6 months, or 12-month plan.
The one who takes a longer plan seems to be more benefited as; the 3-month plan comes at Rs 6,900, for a validity period of six months the plan costs Rs 12,900. For this plan, the user saves a sum of Rs 900 and the 12 months plan would cost you 24,600, saving Rs 3000.
The service provider uses a 100% fiber network to ensure end-to-end connectivity with fiber optics directly running from the service provider to the homes of users. This leads to seamless and high-speed connectivity. Along with the broadband plan, the users get a 3300GB or 3.3TB of Fair Usage Policy (FUP) which the speed is reduced to 3 Mbps.
This plan is only available in a few cities in the country due to its technical feasibility. If one wants to pick the services, one has to once check with their provider to know about the availability of the plan. The plan is excluding the GST and the GST will be charged when users avail the plan.
Tata Sky Vs Jio Fiber
Reliance Jio, which provides broadband–JioFiber is also one of the service providers which users look up to. But Tata Sky in comparison with Jio Fiber has lesser prices. The monthly Jio Fiber 500 Mbps plan costs Rs 2,499 which is Rs 200 more than the Tata Sky broadband. Anyways both have their advantages in their ways, as the Jio Fiber offers access to OTT platforms and a free Android Set-Top Box is also provided. If one wants to avail benefits, they would choose Jio Fiber.
This is the only area, where Tata Sky lacks behind as most of the other providers offer subscriptions to OTT platforms and add some sort of benefits. Moreover, Tata Sky with its high-end plans doesn’t provide any subscriptions. But, the users can receive free installation and a free router dual-band ONT + Wi-Fi router.
