Kothagudem: Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmika Sangham (TBGKS) leaders in the district have demanded that the SCCL management pay a 36 per cent profit-share bonus to workers for 2025-26.

The TBGKS leaders submitted memorandums to officials in all SCCL areas in Kothagudem, Khammam and Bhupalpally districts on Monday as part of a call given by TBGKS honorary president Koppula Eshwar and State president Miryala Raji Reddy.

TBGKS State general secretary Kapu Krishna, along with employees, submitted a petition to officials in Kothagudem. Speaking on the occasion, he accused the Congress government of adopting anti-worker policies.

He noted that profit-share payments were made based on actual profits during the BRS government’s tenure. Since the Congress came to power, only half of the announced profit share had been paid, he alleged.

Krishna noted that Rs 6,300 crore from coal sales revenue over the past two years had been set aside for organisational development, stating that the details regarding the allocation raised several suspicions.

TBGKS Manuguru area vice-president Nagelli demanded that the State government and Singareni management release a White Paper clarifying where and on what development works the Rs 6,300 crore had been spent.

The leaders warned that if a date for the profit-sharing payout was not announced immediately, they would lay siege to both the Singareni corporate office and Pragathi Bhavan. They urged the recognised and representative unions to put pressure on the government to resolve the issue.

TBGKS leaders Gadapa Rajaiah, Kagitapu Vijay Kumar, Burgula Ravi Kumar, Boring Shankar, M Tech Mahender, Namalla Venkateswarlu, Golkonda Naveen and others were present.
