Hyderabad: Telangana Cricket Association general secretary Guruva Reddy said that the recent public statements by former HCA president and former international cricketer Arshad Ayub, former HCA secretaries T Seshnarayan and K John Manoj had virtually confirmed the issues which TCA had been flagging continuously for the last several years.

The TCA raised serious questions over why the Chief Minister’s name was repeatedly surfacing in HCA-related affairs, especially the statements from a former HCA secretary that the unanimous election of M Jeevan Reddy as HCA president was based on orders from the CM and CMO.

TCA questioned why constitutional and legal cricket administration was being influenced through political channels instead of lawful governance.

The TCA alleged that HCA appeared to be trying to survive not through cricket governance, but through political protection.

Guruva Reddy said that there were repeated instances where the CM’s name was allegedly used by HCA members to create fear, issue threats, and intimidate complainants.

TCA questioned whether the CM was aware that his name was being used as a shield by corrupt individuals.

The TCA general secretary expressed serious suspicion that the CID was not being given full freedom to act, despite repeated complaints supported by evidence.

The TCA questioned why ministers and authorities appeared interested in safeguarding individuals accused of serious wrongdoing in HCA, rather than ensuring accountability.

He asked why there was no visible progress or action taken report on the complaints submitted during the last two months.

The TCA stressed that despite proven loot and irregularities, no corrective action has been initiated.
