Hyderabad: The Telangana Cricket Association general secretary Dharam Gurava Reddy hit out at the Hyderabad Cricket Association president Mohammed Azharuddin, claiming that the former Indian captain has no right to conduct cricketing activities in districts.
Guruva Reddy said the HCA officials have to take the permission of BCCI if they intend to take up cricketing activities in the districts.
“Azharuddin is no more HCA president as per their apex council and HCA cannot associate itself with district activities without the BCCI’s written consent. The TCA has been organising cricketing events in the districts since the last seven years and the same was established through courts and BCCI meetings. HCA does not have its presence outside Hyderabad for the last 75 years,” he said.
He further said that the letter of appointments issued by Azhar to district bodies are irrelevant and do not comply with the BCCI constitution.
