TDP, YSRCP workers clash, prohibitory orders clamped in Macherla
TDP alleged that the vehicles of its leaders and houses were set on fire by YSRCP workers.

Narasaraopeta: Police clamped Section 144 in Macherla area of Palnadu district on Saturday, after violent clashes broke out following the TDP workers attack on the ruling YSRCP workers.
On Friday, the opposition TDP conducted a ‘Idhemi Kharma Rastraniki’ programme and later the TDP workers clashed with the YSRCP supporters. They began hitting them with sticks and stones which resulted in injuries to many people who were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
TDP leader Julakanti Brahma Reddy was arrested and shifted to Guntur.
According to police, history sheeters were involved in the TDP programme and deliberately picked a fight with the YSRCP workers. Palanadu Superintendent of Police Y Ravi Sankar Reddy said additional forces have been deployed in the affected areas. Describing it as a purely factional fight, he said that as part of pre-emptive measures, a cordon search was conducted there from Saturday morning, he stated.
Minister Ambati Rambabu has alleged that the TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu had stoked the feud in Macherla town. It was a pre-planned conspiracy by the opposition party to create a law and order problem in the district, he said.
