Kothagudem: The outlawed CPI (Maoist) Central Committee staff member and its technology expert, Ravi (Jailal) had died while testing a bomb arrow he developed.
In a statement released to the media here on Saturday the Maoist Central Committee revealed the details of his death nearly one and half year after it occurred on June 25, 2020 in the Kolhan forests in Jharkhand State. He was laid to rest the next day with Maoist traditions.
The Maoists said, Ravi, an able technician, electronic, communication, computer and improvised explosive devices expert, died after sustaining injuries in the explosion caused by the bomb arrow (exploding arrow) at the PLGA camp in the forests. Ravi, who was also known as tech Ravi and hails from Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh had served as the Eastern Regional Bureau (ERB) staff after he was shifted to work in guerilla zone and rose to the level of Divisional Committee Member.
The statement described Ravi’s death as a great loss to the naxal movement in Bihar-Jharkhand and extended condolences to his parents Bucchamma and Ramanaiah and family members. The Maoists also regretted the delayed announcement about his death.
