Hyderabad: A weekend temple visit turned tragic for a group of IT employees when their car allegedly overturned on the Outer Ring Road near Pedda Amberpet on Sunday night, claiming the life of a 26-year-old woman and leaving seven others injured.
As per available information, the group of Infosys employees was returning from the Saralamma Tanda Maisamma temple in Dandumailaram when their vehicle lost control while travelling from Bongulur Gate towards Pocharam. The car skidded and overturned multiple times before coming to a halt.
The victim has been identified as Soumya Reddy, an Infosys employee, who died on the spot. The other seven passengers suffered multiple injuries and were shifted to a nearby private hospital, where their condition is said to be stable.
The police suspect that overspeeding and loss of control over the steering wheel could have led to the accident. They have registered a case and are investigating the exact cause.
