Sangareddy: A team of software engineers has brought a smile on the face of a differently-abled person by donating a battery-operated wheelchair at Muthangi village in Patancheru Mandal on Monday on the eve of Raksha Bandhan.
The differently-abled person Ravi Kumar was suffering from Myopathy and could not move without the assistance of another person. His family was not in a position to afford a wheelchair. After coming to know the hurdles being faced by Ravi Kumar through District Disabled Persons Association, Satyam Paisa, a mathematics teacher at Zilla Parishad High School IDA Bollaram of Sangareddy district, has sought the help of his friend and software professional Vamshi, who mobilised Rs 50,000 through contributions from his friends in IT industry.
Vamshi, who bought the battery-operated wheelchair, had presented it to Ravi Kumar along with other friends including Satyam on Sunday bringing the smile back on the face of Ravi Kumar and his family members. Satyam and Ravi Kumar thanked Vamshi for his gesture.
