Sangareddy: Traffic flow was disrupted on NH-161B that connects Nizampet in Sangareddy and Bidar in neighbouring Karnataka state as heavy rain lashed these parts of the district on Thursday night.

The technical flaws in the construction of the road were exposed as the water stagnated at several places along the 46-km long highway which was built with an outlay of Rs 300 crore.

Several vehicles were stranded on the highway at Jagannathpur in Narayankhed mandal.

Some road users were seen pushing their car out of the water as it developed a technical glitch while wading through waist deep water.
