Hyderabad: Property and asset registrations across multiple regions in Hyderabad were impacted for a while on Tuesday, creating confusion and frustration among the general public. The authorities at the Department of Stamps and Registration maintained that a technical glitch at the State Data Centre caused the servers to crash, leading to inordinate delays and sluggish systems.

According to reports, at the Malkajgiri SRO and Uppal SRO, key digital processes, including e-KYC (biometric authentication) and deed execution, were non-functional since Tuesday morning. A similar situation was reported at the Uppal SRO office, where customers complained of inordinate delays.

For several hours on Tuesday, the technical issues also impacted the primary Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal, preventing document verification and slot syncing. Some of the other main features, including encumbrance certificates and marriage registration, did not function.

The Registration Department maintained that it has deployed technical teams to the State Data Centre to rectify the server issue. While authorities are hoping to restore services by late evening, they have urged people to check the official portal status before visiting offices on Wednesday.
