Hyderabad: A two-day International e-Conference on Advances in Computer Engineering and Communication Systems (ICACECS-2021) began at VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNRVJIET) here on Friday.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Telangana Academy of Skill & Knowledge (TASK) CEO Shrikant Sinha said the technology research was the way forward for innovations and that varied societal development was possible through the advances in computing and electronics domains, mentioning that the much-needed vaccine for the Covid-19 was also possible through such emerging technologies.
Dr Seifedine Kadry of the Department of Applied Data Science at the Noroff University said the impact of computer science and engineering research in itself and together with other technologies must directly and indirectly address the societal needs of the future.
In his keynote address on research in block chain technologies, Dr Raghava Rao Mukkamala, director, Centre for Business Data Analytics, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, said that such conferences set the platform for dialogue to discuss major transformations in electronics, communication, and computing.
Vignana Jyothi president Dr DN Rao said the confluence of technologies can bring robustness and improve efficiency, but warned that over-dependence on technology could be detrimental to the lives too.
