Former Mayor Teegala Krishna Reddy with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu
Hyderabad: Former Mayor Teegala Krishna Reddy on Monday announced that he would return to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
To this effect, he also met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu. Speaking to the media later, the former Hyderabad Mayor said people were yearning for former Chief Minister late NT Rama Rao’s governance in Telangana as well. He claimed that it was Chandrababu Naidu who developed Cyberabad and during his rule, Clean and Green, the Best City and Best Tourism awards were won.
“I will 100 percent join TDP. The party still has many followers here and they all will be brought onto a single platform to regain its past glory. Chandrababu Naidu said he will discuss soon,” Krishna Reddy said.
After the formation of Telangana, Krishna Reddy had quit TDP and joined Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). However, after Congress came to power, he along with his daughter-in-law Anitha Reddy joined the Congress in February early this year.
Meanwhile, BRS MLAs Ch Malla Reddy and Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, also met the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. Marri Rajasekhar Reddy said on X: “Honoured to personally invite the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu garu to my daughter’s meeting,”
