Teen dies after mobile phone battery explodes in Asifabad
A 14-year-old Class VIII student died after a mobile phone battery exploded while he was allegedly attempting to repair it in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. Police registered a case and launched an investigation as a video of the incident circulated online.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A fourteen-year-old boy was killed after the battery of a mobile phone exploded at Gudem village in Chintalamanepalli mandal on Wednesday.
Police said Nikade Lokesh, a Class VIII student and son of Ganesh and Sandhya, suffered serious facial injuries when the battery exploded. He died while being shifted to a hospital after suffering profuse bleeding. Police said he was attempting to repair the battery by biting it, resulting in the mishap. Further details are awaited.
Based on a complaint received from Ganesh, a case has been registered. Investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, a video of the incident, in which Lokesh is seen with bleeding injuries, went viral on social media platforms.
