Teen killed after woman learning driving runs over two in Ameenpur

The woman had no driving license and had allegedly not undergone any prior training so far.

Sangareddy: A woman who was learning to drive a car without a proper qualified guide ran over two children playing at a playground in Narre Gudem under Ameenpur municipality on Monday morning, killing one of them.

According to locals, one Shekar (40), who was residing at Narre Gudem and working in a private company, took his two children Yekavani (14) and Manidhar Varma (10) to the playground on Monday. While the kids were playing, Maheshwari accompanied her husband Ravi Shekhar, residents of Navya Colony, arrived at the ground in a car. While learning driving, Maheshwari ran over the siblings. While Manidhar died on the spot, Yekavani sustained serious injuries.


The locals caught the wife and husband and handed them over to Ameenpur police. They shifted the injured Yekavani to a nearby hospital.

The woman had no driving license and had allegedly not undergone any prior training so far.

A case was registered.
