Teen suffering from nervous disorder dies by suicide in Hyderabad

A 19-year-old youth, reportedly suffering from a congenital nervous disorder, died by suicide at his residence in Hyderabad’s Ganga Nagar on Tuesday night.

Hyderabad: A 19-year-old man died by suicide at his residence in Ganga Nagar, Sreeram Nagar, on Tuesday night.

According to the police, Nallamilli Dhanush was staying with his father, Nallamilli Kruparaju and was reportedly suffering from a congenital nervous disorder.

On Tuesday night, Kruparaju was sleeping outside the house while Dhanush was lying on another bed using his mobile phone. At around 10.30 p.m., the father asked his son to lock the door before going to sleep.

About an hour later, Kruparaju woke up and noticed that the gate was unlocked and Dhanush was missing from the bed. On searching the house, he found his son hanging from an iron rod of the tin shed with a red chunni.

With the help of apartment residents, he alerted the 108 emergency services. Ambulance personnel who reached the spot examined Dhanush and declared him dead.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
