Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police booked a minor boy on charges of killing three stray puppies near the KBR National Park on Thursday.

According to police sources, the 15-year-old boy who often visited a tea stall near the park allegedly beat to death the puppies which were seen playing around the stall. It was alleged that he had been often harassing other animals and birds in the surroundings of the park.


Following a complaint, the police booked a case of mischief by killing animals, and under sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act against the minor and started investigation.
