Hyderabad: A teenage girl, who allegedly killed her father with the help of her lover and his friends for objecting to their relationship, was arrested by the Kushaiguda police on Friday.
Apart from the 17-year-old girl, a student from Kapra, the police also arrested her lover Ch.Bhupal, and his friends Prashanth, R.Ganesh and P.Vijaypal, all from Kapra.
According to the police, the girl’s family lived at Narayanguda earlier, during which she became close to Bhupal, a security guard’s son, and eventually both fell in love. He allegedly instigated her to steal money from her house and bought a sports bike worth Rs.1.8 lakh, dresses and other material with the stolen money.
On learning about their relationship, the girl’s father, P Rama Krishna (49), who worked in a gas agency, warned both. However, when Bhupal continued to move closely with the girl, Rama Krishna lodged a sexual offence complaint with the Narayanguda police, following which Bhupal was arrested.
“In July, Bhupal was released from jail and again tried to contact the girl, but Rama Krishna reprimanded him. Knowing this, the girl became angry and along with Bhupal and his friends, plotted to kill her father,” police said, adding that on July 19, she allegedly laced chicken curry with sedatives and all family members including her father, who ate food, fell unconscious. Post-midnight, Bhupal and others came to her house.
“While Bhupal and Ganesh closed Rama Krishna’s mouth, Prashanth stabbed him with a knife in the temple. He suddenly regained consciousness and screamed, following which the suspects fled the spot. His wife and son rushed him to hospital, where doctors declared him dead,” police said.
Officials said Prashanth, Ganesh and Bhupal were college dropouts and habituated to drugs.
