Hyderabad: Actor Teja Sajja, who impressed audience with Hanu-Man, is now gearing up to return as a superhero in the pan-India fantasy adventure Mirai, directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Kriti Prasad under People Media Factory, the film is set for a grand worldwide release on September 12.
At the Chennai press meet, Teja Sajja called Mirai “an action, adventure and fantasy entertainer” meant to be experienced on the big screen. “This is a film that will appeal to everyone, children and adults alike. It’s the kind of movie you should watch with your family in theatres,” he said.
The actor revealed that Mirai carries a deeper meaning: “Hope for the Future”, and hinted that the audience will discover another layer of significance when they watch the film. Unlike Hanu-Man, which was set in Anjanadri, Mirai travels across countries, offering a broader canvas and unique characters.
Teja also spoke about the scale of the project, which was filmed in locations such as Sri Lanka, Nepal and the Himalayas. He underwent special training in Thailand for 20 days to perform the high-octane stunts himself, with no body doubles involved. International action choreographers designed the sequences to give the film a distinct global edge.
On releasing the film in Japan and China, he said, “Indian cinema has a strong following there. Hanuman was well received, and I’m confident Mirai will also strike a chord with audiences overseas.”
Calling it his second collaboration with People Media Factory, Teja credited producer Vishwa Prasad and director-DOP Karthik Ghattamaneni for their vision. “This film was possible only because of their passion. The visuals and storytelling will give audiences goosebumps,” he added.
With Manchu Manoj in a powerful role and Aishwarya as the leading lady, Mirai is positioning itself as one of the biggest fantasy spectacles of the year.
