Telangana: Singareni bags national award for excellence in cost management

Peddapalli: Cost control measures implemented by Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) have earned the company the Institute of Cost Accountants of India’s annual National Award for Excellence in Cost Management.
Recognising the company’s exemplary practices, ICMAI awarded Singareni the third prize in the Mega Industries category for 2024. ICMAI president CMA Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak confirmed the development, stating that a jury chaired by Justice SJ Mukhopadhaya, retired Supreme Court Judge and former Chairperson of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), selected the best-performing companies, including SCCL.
The award will be presented during a ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, on June 23. SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Balram expressed happiness over the company securing third place among several mega public sector industries in the country. He said the award recognised the collective efforts of Singareni’s employees and officers.
