Telangana: 21-year-old dies after crashing bike into fountain at BJR junction

A 21-year-old biker, Akula Sasidhar of Velgatur, died after ramming into a water fountain at BJR Junction, Siddipet, on Sunday night. His body was found floating on Monday, retrieved by police, and shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem

Siddipet: A 21-year-old youth died after his bike rammed into a water fountain at the BJR junction here on Sunday night.

Police said the victim, identified as Akula Sasidhar, a resident of Velgatur in Nanganur mandal, apparently lost control of his vehicle and fell into the fountain after the crash. He died on the spot.


On Monday afternoon, locals noticed his body floating in the water and alerted police. Two-town Inspector Upendar, ASI Mutyam and other personnel reached the spot, retrieved the body and shifted it to the government hospital in Siddipet.

Police traced the victim’s details using his bike registration number.
