Siddipet: An 80-year-old man, who accidentally fell into a deep abandoned agriculture well on Tuesday, survived without food and water for three days before he was rescued on Thursday.

Paisa Narayana, a resident of Bara Imam Colony in Siddipet town, fell into the abandoned well and survived the fall. His cries for help, however, went in vain as nobody heard it. Finally, a neighbouring farmer checked the well and found Narayana crying for help. He immediately alerted Siddipet Rural Police over phone and a team led by Sub-inspector Shankar reached the spot.

The police roped in the services of the Fire department, pulled Narayana out of the well and rushed him to the Siddipet Government Hospital where doctors administered saline. The doctors said Narayana’s condition was stable. On coming to know about the incident, Narayana’s family members, who had been searching for him for the past three days, rushed to the hospital and thanked the police and fire department personnel.
