Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered a total of 23 cases and enquiries during September 2025.
This included 11 trap cases, 2 disproportionate assets cases, 2 criminal misconduct cases, 6 regular enquiries, and 2 surprise checks. A total of 22 public servants were arrested and remanded in judicial custody. Cash amounting to Rs 8.91 lakh was seized in trap cases, while disproportionate assets worth Rs 14.05 crore were unearthed.
Between January and September 2025, the ACB booked 203 cases in total, leading to the arrest of 189 officials and employees. Cash seizures amounted to Rs 42.03 lakh, while assets worth over Rs 58.36 crore were uncovered.
During the same period, the ACB finalised and forwarded reports in 204 cases, including 25 in September alone. The ACB teams also secured a conviction this month, with a Nalgonda district Tahsildar sentenced to one year of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 25,000 in a 2018 trap case.
