Telangana: ACB registers 31 cases in August, unearths Rs 5.13 crore assets
The ACB registered 31 cases in August 2025, arresting 22 officials and seizing Rs 2.82 lakh in bribe money. Between January and August, 179 cases were booked, 167 officials arrested, and disproportionate assets worth Rs 44.3 crore unearthed across Telangana.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) reported 31 cases and enquiries in August 2025, including 15 trap cases, two disproportionate assets cases, three criminal misconduct cases, seven regular enquiries, and four surprise checks.
According to officials, 22 public servants, including four outsourcing employees, were arrested and remanded to judicial custody during the month. Cash amounting to Rs 2.82 lakh was seized in trap cases across departments, while a major disproportionate assets case unearthed wealth worth Rs 5.13 crore.
Between January and August 2025, the ACB registered 179 cases, comprising 108 trap cases, 11 disproportionate assets cases, 18 criminal misconduct cases, 18 regular enquiries, 21 surprise checks, and three discreet enquiries. A total of 167 public servants were trapped or arrested in this period, with cash of Rs 33.12 lakh seized in trap cases and disproportionate assets worth Rs 44.30 crore unearthed.
In August alone, the Bureau finalised 25 cases and submitted final reports to the government. Overall, 177 cases were finalised and reported between January and August this year.
