Telangana activist Sunder Raj appointed as KUDA chairman

Warangal: Noted educationist, social and political activist Sangamreddy Sunder Raj Yadav was appointed chairman of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) on Friday. Yadav played a key role in separate Telangana convener of Private Degree Colleges Joint Action Committee (JAC). He is currently pursuing his PhD in the Business Management at the Kakatiya University.
Speaking to ‘Telangana Today’ over phone, Sunder Raj said that he would strive for the planned development of the villages and hamlets under the KUDA limits by utilizing the funds available in productive manner, and thanked the TRS party high command and MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao, West MLA D Vinay Bhaskar and others for reposing faith in him. “I would take all possible measures for the development of the Greater Warangal city further with the help of the local MLAs, MLCs, MP and others,” he added.
Yadav hails from Mucherla village and his father late S Laxmirajam was an Excise Superintendent in Andhra Pradesh. During the Telangana movement, he organised and participated in relay hunger strikes in which students, teaching and non- teaching staff and management members were actively involved. “I have conceived the idea “Laksha Ninadalu- Laksha Nivalulu” (One Lakh Slogans-One lakh Tributes) and mobilized the people from every nook and corner for the programme to offer tributes to Telangana martyrs.”
