Telangana adds 887 fresh COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths push toll to 1,701
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 201, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (79) and Nirmal (78), it said in a bulletin, providing details as of 8 PM on March 31.

Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded 887 new Covid-19 infections and four fatalities on Wednesday, taking the cumulative number of fatalities to 1,701 while the total number of positive cases is 3,08,776. As on Wednesday, there were 5, 511 active Covid-19 cases in the State.
A total of 337 persons recovered on Wednesday the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 3,01,564 with a recovery rate of 97.66 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 93.9 per cent.
Between Wednesday and Thursday, 59,297 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 1,370 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 1,02,10,906 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 3,08,776 have tested positive and 3,01,564 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 13 from Adilabad, six from Bhadradri, 201 from areas under GHMC, 56 from Jagtiyal, nine Jangaon, five from Bhupalpally, six from Gadwal, 27 from Kamareddy, 23 from Karimnagar, 16 from Khammam, seven from Asifabad, 22 from Mahabubnagar, eight from Mahabubabad, 11 from Mancherial, nine from Medak, 79 from Medchal Malkajgiri, two from Mulugu, seven from Nagarkurnool, 21 from Nalgonda, six from Narayanpet, 78 from Nirmal, 45 from Nizamabad, nine from Peddapalli, 12 from Siricilla, 76 from Rangareddy, 36 from Sangareddy, 21 from Siddipet, 10 from Suryapet, 12 from Vikarabad, ten from Wanaparthy, 12 from Vikarabad, nine from Warangal Rural, 23 Warangal Urban and 12 from Yadadri.
