Telangana: Ailamma’s family thanks CM KCR
Ailamma's family members thanked CM KCR for the Telangana government's decision to officially organise Ailamma Jayanti and Vardhanthi celebrations, as a tribute to the Telangana hero and armed combatant Chityala (Chakali).

Hyderabad: The family members of well-known Telangana Armed Struggle activist Chityala (Chakali) Ailamma thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for deciding to organise Ailamma’s birth and death anniversaries as State’s official functions. The descendants of Ailamma, accompanied by Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, met the Chief Minister at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday.

Among Ailamma’s descedants who called on Chandrashekhar Rao were former Palakurthi sarpanch Chityala Ramachander, his son Chityala Sampath and grandson and granddaughters. Ministers V Srinivas Goud and Satyavathi Rathod, MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and Dr. M. Srinivas Reddy and MLAs Aruri Ramesh, T. Rajaiah, Patnam Narender Reddy and Kale Yadaiah were present.
